20 GIFT IDEAS FOR CHILDREN 3 or 4 YEARS OLD

We take the same ones and start over … a year later! After the list of gift ideas for 2 years, here are our best games for 3 – 4 years that Little Lucky has been playing in recent months.

1. Disguises

Little Lucky loves to dress up, and in addition to the ones he inherited from his brother, we give him some for every birthday and Christmas. This year, we fell in love with the Oxybul Wolf costume and this shark costume from Hema at a very low price (€ 6).

2.Playmobils

P’tit Lucky has already been playing Playmobil for a while: when he was little, he had Playmobil 123s specially adapted for children from 18 months, without small parts that risk being swallowed (special mention for this Zoo Transportable set with swimming pool: he loved bathing animals!). Now that he’s bigger, he likes classic figures with all the mini accessories.

3.Foam games

Obviously, to exercise there is the square, but when the weather is too ugly it’s good to be able to move a little at home. The boys are playing with foam balls in the hallway and particularly like this Oxybul * foam croquet set (which is intended for outdoors but can also be used very well indoors).

4.Giant coloring pages and a large pot of markers

It’s a very nice activity that has kept P’tit Lucky several nights in a row when he comes home from school and he hasn’t finished yet!

5.Figures

P’tit Lucky loves to play with figurines, Papo, Schleich, Chinese imitations of junk, he invents scenes, stories, we take them everywhere in small bags and it occupies both the square and in the caps.

6.Merchant, workbench, kitchenette

An imitation workshop at their size.

Made of wood because it’s even cuter.

With us, this € 50 Lidl snack was one of the best games of the year (friends throw themselves on it every time!), In addition, it has the advantage over others of being compact. Cooking, setting the menu, serving the customer, collecting and giving change, they’ve been there and still have hours of fun.

7.Kapla

Little Lucky had some in his class and obviously the teacher taught them to build towers taller than them, which he often does at home! Certainly, the barrel may seem expensive, but at least that is necessary for quantity: P’tit Lucky only stops building when the barrel is empty!

8. Puzzles

P’tit Lucky inherited a collection of the famous Djeco puzzles from his big brother. But his weakness is these Mouk * story-puzzles, of which he really likes the design, the many details and the fact of traveling the world!

9.Little vintage characters and their house

Fan of Vintage, do not miss the limited edition reissue of the Vulli * magic tree identical to its version from 40 years ago, it is just too cute.

Little Lucky also adores the Sylvanian universe and really liked this boat *.

10.A ball track

We have several adapted according to the age group (from 3 years old), but honestly, the one that P’tit Lucky likes the most is the most complex, the one from 6 years old!

11. Little People

It is the full age of imitation, of small characters, of small cars. P’tit Lucky was too happy to find the famous American school bus which is in one of his favorite Splat books. With the famous Fisher-Price * school bus, he opens the door, gets the kids on board, and off we go for a musical ride!

12. Card games

Bata-was, Mistigri, Piratak, Halli Galli, all these card games are perfect for 2 or more games of about 10 minutes.

13.Board games

Cooperative board games are great for getting started in board games and learning to lose (such as Haba’s orchard, Bioviva’s Enchanted Forest, etc.) and there are the classic Croque-Carotte and Pique-Plume.

14. Stickers

Repositionable sticker books, mosaics, sticker books, these calm activities are also great for developing fine motor skills and improving the grip of the pen.

15. Playmats

These small balls to stick simply with the tongue allow us to make various constructions in 2D to be glued on coloring or in 3D for a little more complex constructions. It was one of his favorite activities at school in Small Section!

16. A magazine subscription

We are fans of the monthly History for toddlers, whose stories are original and beautifully illustrated, and every 3 months there is a CD to listen to!

17. A subscription to a creative box

For us who like manual activities, it’s nice to receive missions every month with the material ready!

The 3 children share each month the Gulli by Tiniloo box intended for 3 – 9 years old and they love it, it allows us to discover lots of new creative techniques, such as the footprint o

19. Funny cookie cutters

  1. To play with plastic or to cook! P’tit Lucky has a passion for shortbread (with Dede’s unbeatable recipe!) And he loves making funny shortbread shaped like pineapple, reindeer, rocket
  2. Sidewalk chalk
It doesn’t cost much and it really is some memorable drawing moments!
  3. A Mölky game

The real one, the original (or its equivalent to Decathlon at 20 €), a great game to play with the family … once you understand the rules!

In Petite Section, children learn to recognize the numbers, they are happy to be able to read some of them on the bowling pins!

Paradoxically, I find this game simpler than the traditional pétanque for children aged 3 to 4. The wooden throwing pin is easier to handle than a ball and they almost always manage to knock down a few of the 12 pins.

And then the easel board we had before entering school turned out to be a great investment in the Petite Section, P’tit Lucky loved to trace letters, shapes, and numbers seen in class during the day at night. !

And you, any gift ideas to add?
